Effect of Intervention Programs for Preterm Labor Women in Korea: Systematic Review

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze and discuss the methodological issues of intervention for preterm labor women and its¡¯ effectiveness in Korea by utilizing a systematic review.

Methods: We established the PICOTS-SD (Participants, Intervention, Comparisons, Outcomes, Timing of outcome measurement, Setting, Study design), reviewed 83 studies from electronic database of RISS, KISS and other databases were selected, using the following keywords: ¡®Preterm labor women¡¯, ¡®Abdominal breathing¡¯, ¡®Relaxation therapy¡¯, ¡®Bed exercise¡¯, ¡®Music therapy¡¯. Eight references that met inclusion and exclusion criteria were finally selected for systematic review.

Results: Types of intervention was selected the most common abdominal breathing. Unless variety of interventions that were being tried. The total number of study were more than 40 people, and pregnancy 20-37 weeks to target pregnant women hospitalized with preterm labor is less than 1 to 3, the pregnant women through individual education within 5-30 minutes was performed in a way that can be done in bed. Effect of the intervention was measured anxiety and stress in all literature.

Conclusion: There is evidence that preterm labor women anxiety and stress reduces. The results of this study provide a basis for the development of intervention programs to improve preterm labor women.
